Must have 10 to 15 years’ experience in a professional writing/editing capacity. Must be a writer of your own books, whether fiction or nonfiction. Must have been published in some capacity, in newspapers, magazines or books. Must have a proven track record of working with other writers, either through coaching, teaching or as managing editor.
Must have a fully functioning home office, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, including the use of Track Changes, as well as the use of Skype. Writing degree required (Journalism, Communications, English Literature, Fiction MFA). Must be able to use your own phone to hold sessions with clients across the U.S. Flexible work schedule available. Passion for literature a must. Only candidates with high ethical standards need apply.
The Art of Storytelling assists writers of novels and memoir, as well as self-help and business books in writing and structuring their books in a step-by-step process. The successful candidate must be able to nurture the talents and abilities of clients and create a supportive atmosphere. The first project the successful candidate will take on is the revision of a nonfiction book.
This is a contract position and pay is variable depending on project.
